OAM recognition for BEST Chairperson

BEST Employment is proud to announce that BEST’s Chairperson and former Inverell resident Mr Jon Watts has been awarded a Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM).

 

Jon received an OAM in the General Division for service to the community of Inverell. Some of the services to the Inverell community include;

Chairperson BEST Employment since 1980;

Honorary Life Member, Inverell Show Society;

Foundation Member, Catherine Campbell Childcare Centre;

Foundation Member, Inverell Women’s Refuge;

Chairperson and Trustee McLean Care, until 2014;

Member, Inverell Bird Club;

Member, Inverell Lions Club;

Member, Delungra Golf Club;

Justice of the Peace, current;

Former Secretary, Inverell Harness Racing Club;

Former Chairperson, Inverell Community Housing;

Former Honorary Solicitor, various Aboriginal Lands Councils and community groups;

Former President, Inverell Pre-School and Northern Roads Activity Van;

Former Trustee Inverell Show Ground;

Former member, Inverell Youth Group, and

Former Member, Inverell Boys Club.
